In order to unite international and regional forces, Nagaad joined Professionals in Humanitarian Assistance and Protection (PHAP), Strategic Initiative for Horn of Africa (SIHA), Nairobi Peace Initiative and the Somali NGO consortium to collaborate with achieving common shared strategic goals for the betterment of women in the Horn of Africa.
Nagaad has been at the front line in the formation of Somaliland Non-State Actors Forum (SONSAF) for the provision of a non-political platform participated by social groups to balance state actors, and at the same time, revised its organizational set up.
Common Pot Fund Policy
A new networking strategy called “Common Pot Fund Policy” has been adopted to build the capacity of member organizations to be able to deliver Nagaad’s mandate at grassroots level and implement projects responding to the real needs of the community. This will be achieved through direct support to member organizations by strengthening the technical capacity of members to be able to design projects with a view to meeting the real needs of communities in their geographical area of operation. As a result of this reform, relevant policies, procedures and strategies have been revised and CPF policy and guidelines have been developed, piloted, and adopted.
